What we take in the Redlands

Garden and green waste is constant here. Acreage at Sheldon and Mount Cotton, established gardens along the waterfront strip, and a lot of tree work after summer storms come through the bay. Beyond that, deceased estate and downsizing clear outs are the bread and butter, often whole houses that have not been emptied in decades.

We also take household junk, furniture, whitegoods and appliances, and light construction debris from renovations. It is a local, owner operated business, so the person quoting the job is the person doing it.

Where it goes, and what that costs

Your price is set by how much there is and what it is. A yard full of palm fronds and storm debris, a downsizing lounge suite and a garage of old whitegoods are priced differently even when the trailer looks equally full, and the figure is agreed before we start.

Everything we collect is disposed of responsibly at licensed facilities, and Redland City Council runs recycling and waste centres at Birkdale and Redland Bay. Capalaba, Cleveland, Victoria Point and Mount Cotton are all booked and priced the same way as any other job we do.

Working with agents and executors

A lot of Redlands estate work is handled by family who live elsewhere in Brisbane or interstate. You do not need to meet us at the property. We arrange access, clear the house and yard, and send before and after photos so the executor or the vendor can see what was there and what was taken. Agencies and property managers can be set up to be invoiced on account.

Downsizing is the other steady stream here. Victoria Point, Thornlands and Redland Bay have a lot of people moving from a family home into something smaller, and what comes out is rarely one trailer: a shed, a garage, a yard and forty years of the house itself. We can do it over a couple of visits so nothing has to be decided in one afternoon, and whatever is still good can be set aside for family or donation before we load.
